ADC Begins Grassroots Chapter, Polling Unit Inaugurations in Imo

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State has begun a grassroots mobilisation exercise aimed at strengthening the party ahead of future elections.

The exercise, which covers the 12 local government areas in Orlu Zone, started with the inauguration of new party executives in Nkwerre and Nwangele Local Government Areas.

Speaking during the inauguration, ADC Imo State Chairman, Prof. James Okoroma, charged the newly appointed executives to take their responsibilities seriously, mobilise new members and ensure that the party’s policies are effectively communicated at the grassroots.

He stressed that strong political structures must begin at the ward and polling-unit levels. He also urged party officials to work together, respect the ADC constitution and put the interests of the party above personal interests.

The sensitisation tour is also designed to give the party leadership an opportunity to interact directly with members, identify challenges and find practical solutions to strengthen the ADC across Imo State.

The party says the exercise will continue across the remaining local government areas in Orlu Zone as it works to build a stronger grassroots structure and prepare for effective participation in future elections.
